Dear Sir,

AIR RAIDS: 25RM AUGUST 1938.

I have to report the following serial attacks by

enemy planes, and damage sustained by the Railway on the

23rd instant:

About 6.30 hours. 5 bombs were dropped at Km.81†

(Wang Lik

Sheung Ping) by 4 planes aiming at No. 119

bridge (3–20' deek girder), but without any damage to the

bridge or track.

Between 6,45 7.00 hours. 4 bombs were dropped

at Xm.98/5-6 (Cheung Muk Tou) by 4 planes, The only damage

was that the telephone and telegraph wires were interrupted.

1 village woman was injured.

About 3,40 hours. 3 bombs were dropped at Km.14/11

(Che P1 - Kut Chan) by 3 planes, but no damage was done to

the track. 4 villagers were killed.
